Types of Notifications
There are three main types of notifications available in our platform:
System notifications: These notifications are generated by the system and are used to inform users about important updates or changes related to the platform, such as new features or maintenance schedules.
Listing Management notifications: These notifications are related to the management of listings on the platform. For example, an account owner might receive a notification when someone follows their account or likes one of their listings.
Order Status notifications: These notifications are related to the status of orders on the platform. Account owners and buyers can both receive notifications about the status of their orders, such as when an order is confirmed, shipped, or delivered.
How Orders and Notifications Flow
The following diagram illustrates how orders and notifications flow in our platform:
- Green boxes indicate that the seller can change the order status, and the green arrow indicates that the message is being sent from the seller to the buyer.
- Yellow boxes indicate that the buyer can change the order status, and the yellow arrow indicates that the message is being sent from the buyer to the seller.
User App Notifications
Users of our app are able to receive updates about different events and actions to keep them informed and up-to-date. Some examples of the types of notifications that users might receive include:
Chat message notifications: Users receive a notification when they receive a new message in a chat conversation.
Account owner notifications: Account owners receive notifications when someone follows their account or likes one of their listings.
Order status notifications: Both account owners and buyers can receive notifications about the status of their orders, such as when an order is confirmed, shipped, or delivered.
On the roadmap, we have plans to add additional notification types, including:
Review notifications: Account owners (such as store owners) will receive a notification when a buyer leaves a review for one of their listings.
Followed account notifications: Users will receive notifications when a listing is posted by an account that they are following.
